   Saul at Casa Hidalgo was wonderful to work with. My pup is 4.5 years old and healthy, smart & lots of fun.

   I recommend Saul & Casa Hidalgo. I may be seeing him again soon, for another pup!

   For all that have been customers of my Uncle Saul Saltares, we are sad to inform that he has deceased. This past year he was living in Puerto Rico from where he is originally to live a healthier and tranquil life. He deceased on Thursday, January 27, 2011. He was very ill. We thank you all that have been following up on his health.

   Need to get puppy info from Saul’s relatives, anyone have any contact info? Anyone have any info about a litter of pups from late Dec 2008?

   Our condolences: So very sad to hear of Saul’s passing. Our Spanish Water Dog, Maddie, is seven, and one of the best dogs we have every owned, VERY calm and behaved. Saul was the best, very knowledgeable and had high standards as a breeder. We had been talking over the past few months about buying another puppy from Saul because our experience was so good. Is the family continuing the business, or does anyone have recommendations?

   Enterado del fallecimiento de Saul quiero darle mi más sentido pésame a su amplia familia, esposas e hijos.
   Sin lugar a dudas, la cinofilia americana pierde a un gran enamorado del perro, a un gran conocedor del comportamiento canino y a un amante del perro de agua español; puente de enlace entre España y América, fundamental para la introducción de la raza en Estados Unidos, nuestro amigo Saul, enamorado de las razas españolas ha dejado sembrado un campo que seguramente sus fieles seguidores sabran continuar su labor y recoger la cosecha, para que el perro de agua español siga creciendo en popularidad entre las familias americanas. Amigo Saul, descanse en paz.

   We are so so sad to read of Saul’s passing! He was such a mentch. We enjoyed him so much and Verdi(renamed barak) from his daughter in Spain, is such a delightful beautiful animal. He has brought so much joy not only to our family but to so many others too. In fact, if I go into the local Apple Computer store without Barak, the staff ask me where he is and how come I didn’t bring him. They love to throw a ball for him in the store and pet him and love him. They find so much ease and peace with him.

   I am really so sad to know that Saul is gone. I wish you peace and good memories and that what was most beautiful in him shall live on in his family and friends.

   Soooo sad – Saul was such a good friend and wonderful breeder – he said he sold me the best of the best and I joked that he said that to all the girls….
   Nora, thanks for writing as I have been trying to reach Saul for months and thought I somehow ‘pissed him off’ but couldn’t imagine how…. RIP, Saul, you old salt. We will toast you tonight and upon the birth of our first litter this summer. Thank you, Saul.

Nora, thanks for writing as I have been trying to reach Saul for months and thought I somehow ‘pissed him off’ but couldn’t imagine how…. RIP, Saul, you old salt.     I have been searching for Saul … the last we talked he told me he was ill and moving to Puerto Rico. I am so very sorry to hear of his passing! We have 4 of his pups, Mister Bear, Beaver, Guinness and Hazel. They are the most loved dogs!! We are trying to find a Bitch to breed Guinness to , as Saul had told us not to neuter him. Guinness is a real treasure … such a clown! If anyone knows of a contact for us let me know at mpu1450@gmail.com. God bless Saul and my best to his family … He was such a lovable character!!
