Hardy, courageous, and versatile, the Wachtelhund meets the demands of today’s multifaceted hunters. It’s abilities include blood trailing, bird and fur hunting, retrieving, and has a trademark not found normally with other types of “bird dog” breeds, giving “tongue” while on trail. Bred by the hunters and foresters of Germany, this rare breed is just now becoming established into the United States.
